Last weekend several Rotarians assisted our Queenstown Inner Wheel Club counterparts with volunteer duties at the Queenstown Marathon including marshalling, traffic control and other duties. Duties commenced at 6:00 am with an early shift which was relieved by a second shift at 10:00 am.
The $5,000 raised is going to assist "Jigsaw Central Otago", an organisation that provides help and guidance to men, women and young people in need in order to support safe and healthy relationships.
This was a fine example of Rotary, and its sister organisation, working together for the benefit of our Wakatipu community.
