A big thank you to the Rotarians who turned out in numbers to help out with the NZ Golf Open.  The Club will raise around $12k which will assist our future projects.  Well done to Ashley who held it together over the week and to David who worked up the rosters.

Monica and Joan are finalising the details for the Club's 80th birthday celebration so keep an eye out over the next week or so for your invitation.  It will be a great celebration and the more attendees the greater the occasion will be.

We had an international theme at last week’s Rotary meeting with Philip and Mary from New York and Graham and Jeanette (Scotland/USA).  We had an enthusiastic gin tasting session and a meal at the New Orleans.  A most enjoyable night out.

Or a Rotaractor from Central Lakes ?

Have you offered congratulations to the Greymouth Club for their 80th birthday celebrations last year?
Do you know the Milton Club raise thousands of dollars through their Tramping Club activities?
Or that the Blenheim Club run a Bootsale market on Saturday mornings?
And that Winton Rotary make rat traps to protect the native birds on Ulva Island?
Come to Conference to connect and share stories about your projects face-to-face ...

SENIORS SOCIAL CYCLE MEET-UP
To celebrate Neighbours Month, QLDC is organising a Seniors Social Cycle Meet-Up event next Wednesday and Thursday in Queenstown and Wānaka.

The purpose is to encourage seniors to get on their bikes, learn safety skills, gain cycling confidence, and meet new people along the way.  QLDC noticed a bit of a gap in activities for this group during Aotearoa Bike Month Challenge so have designed this initiative specifically with the hope that it will be informative, fun and very social.

In Queenstown, people will start at Frankton Beach and pedal out towards Kelvin Heights.  On the way back, there’ll be a coffee and scone stop at the Hilton for people to refuel and enjoy some good chats.
