Daffodil Day  had a great turnout of Rotary Volunteers. Stuart got a bit confused! It is rumoured that he was inviting people to buy poppies!

We beat last year's fundraising at the bottom of the Mall and raised $1,470.80. That works out at about $147 for every man/woman hour worked.

             3 MINUTE TALK 23 AUGUST
BrianMcPherson was raised on a farm in Winton and boarded at Marist Bros. in Invercargill. On leaving school he went to work in the importing Department of H & J Smiths. He decided that he wanted to work for himself eventually so he studied Real Estate and valuation. However, when he went to apply for jobs, he was considered too young at 21. Persistence paid off and he eventually got a job followed by a partnership a few years later. Brian has also been the President of the Real Estate Institute
