             3 MINUTE TALK 20 SEPT
Tony Robbins attended Southland Boys High School in Invercargill for 4 years, then went into accountancy for a short time. He got involved in the family motor vehicle businesses with 36 staff, selling tractors. He got involved in various other motor vehicle companies in Invercargill, but the businesses were not good. After moving to Queenstown to sell cars, he sold over 300 in 5 years. He sold his shares in the motor vehicle business in Queenstown and went into selling real estate. The 1st house he sold was in Fernhill. The best sale in his entire real estate career was when he sold a large parcel of Andrews Road land for $8 million. He remained  with Harcourts in Queenstown for 15 years before he retired and has subsequently been involved with QRC. His current hobby is to keep fit with his walking.

GUEST SPEAKER 20th Sept.
Dr. Sam Hazeldine-Entreprenuer-Doctor-Athlete
As a young man, he drank heavily and nearly killed himself by trying to do a double back flip off a high wall.
After surviving this he took a grip of himself and graduated from medical school in 2003. He became a skiing champion among a whole string of other achievements. He had what he calls  ‘a big mantra’, which was a lesson that has changed his life.

GUEST SPEAKER 27th Sept. Denise van Aalst- Clinical Manager Hospice Southland

"Living Every Moment; Grateful-Collaborative-Passionate-Encouraging-Respectful" This is the Hospice mantra.
Denise always wanted to be a nurse-at 7 years old she wanted to "make sick people feel better".
She received the first-ever post graduate diploma in Palliative Care and, like all Hospice staff is passionate about what she does.
Hospice is a philosophy of care, not the building. Hospice Southland covers Southland up to the Wakatipu.
