This week Alison and Olivia Wildey, winners of the ‘Impact 100’ Women’s Group grant for 2020, spoke about the role of their organisation. Living Options is a a charitable trust providing individualised support to people with disabilities in Central Otago whilst enabling them to remain within their community.

The centres are a safe haven for people with disabilities and provide activity programs that include art classes, music therapy, cooking, organic gardening, sport and school holiday programs.

Founded by Alison in Alexandra 20 years ago, they are now expanding to the Wakatipu having acquired a house at 14 Nairn Street, Arrowtown as an Activity Centre.  The ‘Impact 100’ grant is being used to fit out the house and to employ tutors to run activity programs.
